Makeup trends move quickly, but every now and then a few looks stand out because they’re wearable, flattering and easy to adapt into your everyday routine.
Right now, makeup artists are leaning into techniques that enhance natural features rather than hiding them - glowing skin, soft definition around the eyes, and subtle contour that lifts the face.
Below, we’ve rounded up 5 looks we’re loving right now, along with simple tips for recreating them using Gorgeous Cosmetics favourites.
1. Skin That Still Looks Like Skin
Heavy, mask-like foundation has taken a back seat. The focus now is complexion products that even out the skin while still allowing your natural texture to show through.
The goal is healthy, breathable skin that looks polished without looking overdone.
How to recreate it
Start with hydrated skin and apply a lightweight primer to smooth the surface. Apply foundation in thin layers, building coverage only where needed.
Rather than sweeping foundation across the face, press it into the skin using a brush for a more seamless finish.

Pro tip: Apply foundation mainly through the centre of the face, then blend outward. This keeps the perimeter of the face looking natural and fresh.
2. Tight-Lined Definition
Not everyone loves a dramatic wing, which is why tight-lining has become a favourite technique among makeup artists.
Instead of drawing a visible line above the lashes, eyeliner is applied directly along the lash line to subtly enhance the eyes and make lashes appear fuller.
The result is definition without the look of obvious eyeliner.
How to recreate it
Use a liquid liner with a fine tip and gently work colour between the lashes rather than drawing a thick line above them.
Keep the liner close to the roots of the lashes and allow it to slightly deepen the outer corners of the eyes.

Pro tip: Tilt your chin slightly upward when applying liner - it helps you see the lash roots more clearly.
3. Soft Lip Contour
Lip liner is having a major moment again, but this time the finish is soft and natural rather than sharply defined.
The technique involves slightly overlining the outer edge of the lips and blending the liner inward so the colour fades seamlessly into lipstick.
The effect is fuller-looking lips that still look natural.
How to recreate it
Lightly trace just outside the natural lip line, focusing mainly on the centre of the lips rather than the corners.
Blend the liner inward using a brush or fingertip before applying lipstick.

Pro tip: Concentrate the overline mainly on the Cupid’s bow and centre of the lower lip for the most natural enhancement.

4. Warm Bronzed Skin
Bronzer is shifting away from sharp contour and moving toward soft warmth that mimics naturally sun-kissed skin.
Instead of sculpting harsh shadows, bronzer is applied where the sun would naturally hit the face - the temples, cheekbones and bridge of the nose.
How to recreate it
Use a fluffy brush and apply bronzer lightly around the perimeter of the face, blending upward toward the temples.
A small amount swept across the nose can help tie the look together.

Pro tip: Apply bronzer in a soft “3” shape from temples to cheekbones to jawline for natural-looking warmth.

5. Baby Wings
Winged eyeliner never truly disappears, but the modern version is far more subtle.
Baby wings are small, soft flicks at the outer corners of the eyes that lift the shape of the eye without dominating the look.
It’s a simple way to add definition while still keeping makeup effortless.
How to recreate it
Start by lining the upper lash line with a soft pencil, keeping the line thin.
At the outer corner, extend the liner slightly upward and outward, then gently soften the edge.

Pro tip: Smudging the edge of the liner slightly makes the wing look softer and more modern.
